The modern pace of technology development and the growing globalization processes result in significant changes in many industries, including the trade sphere. Those companies which cannot adapt to the constantly changing conditions are forced to quit the market. At the same time, the evolution of gathering, storing and processing data technologies provide opportunities for significant improvement in the quality of business processes, and, in particular, management processes.

This graduate thesis is devoted to the enterprise management modelling based on the situational management approach. The general purpose was to analyze the existing management models and to improve them in accordance with the modern solution-finding technologies. The situational approach was described as an alternative to the traditional management, as it is based on the data analysis and gives wide opportunities for enterprise management automatization. In the practical part of the work a prototype of the problem situations classifier and a module for finding an appropriate solution were created with the use of neural network techniques. The obtained results could help to develop decision support systems and to improve business processes of a trading enterprise.
