Container transportation is one of the most important opportunities for increasing productivity, as well as reducing the cost of transportation of goods. Advantages of container transportation are reduction of costs for using containers and packaging, increasing productivity and improving working conditions, accelerating delivery and enhancing their safety, improving the quality of transportation process in general.

The analysis has shown that today in the domestic literature the questions of efficiency increasing of container transportations in the market of transport services are insufficiently studied.

The purpose of this work is to improve the organization of delivery of containerized cargo in logistics systems.

In this work technologies and the organization of container transportations were shown, the modern condition and prospects of development of the markets of container transportations are analyzed. An optimal route for the transportation of a 20-foot container was developed on the basis of the network schedule in order to improve the economic efficiency of the company.

In the work the modern means of monitoring of containerized cargo were also shown and proposed for implementing to ensure security of supply. It was concluded that today there is no perfect system, so the development of new monitoring technologies remains relevant.
