Modern Interpretations of Musical Traditions in the Work of Chinese Composer Tan Dun

This work refers to the topic of contemporary interpretations of Chinese musical traditions in the work of modern Chinese composer Tan Dun. The purpose of the work is to find out how the composer interprets the place of the Chinese musical tradition in his work. In the course of the work, biographical and diachronic methods were used, and 84 scores for Tan Dun's works were analyzed. Based on the results of the work, the main influences of the Chinese tradition on the work of Tan Dunya were singled out and a conclusion was drawn on how the composer interprets the place of the Chinese musical tradition in his work
