China’s Cultural Revolution in Cai Guo-Qiang’s art

This research aims to analyze the influence of China’s Cultural revolution on Cai Guo-Qiang’s art. It is known that Cai Guo-Qiang’s art is influenced both by Western and classical Eastern heritage and visual artists’ masterpieces. However, this research will focus on China’s Cultural influence on symbols and themes of Chinese contemporary artists and Cai Guo-Qiang in particular. The study includes the review of previous studies on relevant themes and an analysis of artists’ artworks and interviews.
