Minarets in Iran and Central Asia of 14th and 15th century — period when these lands began to flourish again after devastating invasion of the Mongols, that happened in the 13th century, are an interesting subject to explore. During these two centuries Persian architects have achieved unprecedented mastery in decoration and construction of religious buildings. My goal was to collect all minarets from that time and region and to compare them with each other, and by that to find distinctive features of decoration and architectural composition of minarets from different Persian regions and different decades. In order to do that I had to examine minarets from this region of previous centuries in order to understand how decoration and architectural composition developed throughout time.
