Econometric Modelling of CMTP Insurance in Russia

The study of the market of compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners is now becoming particularly relevant due to the steady increase in the number of motorists and the active development of the road transport infrastructure in general. The management of the vehicle involves a constant risk of accidents on the road. Thanks to the system of compulsory motor insurance, every motorist can be sure of protecting his rights and reimbursement of all losses in case he suffered from the actions of another driver as a result of an accident. The given work is devoted to the analysis of a modern situation in the market of obligatory autoinsurance. Particular attention was paid to the study of regional market features, the study of factors that exert different influence on the CMTP depending on the region. Currently, serious economic problems are observed in the market of compulsory motor third party liability insurance. Market research during the period of stagnation has a special significance and a separate interest. Analyzing the current trends of the segment, the reasons for the emergence of a crisis situation were revealed on this research and the forecast for the development of CMTP in Russia for the next year was constructed.
