The System of Identification of Stable Groups of Patients to Specialized Doctors Using Data of Medical Organizations
Business Informatics
(Bachelor’s programme)
8
2018
Large medical organizations have accumulated data on patients for 2-3 years. As a consequence, the task of identifying of stable groups of patients for specialized doctors and demand-based planning the resources utilization become actual. However, the problem is poorly worked out: existing algorithms for predicting the demand for specialized doctors and algorithms for identifying stable patient groups were trained on small data and they are not used because of their low quality.

The purpose of this study is to suggest an optimization algorithm that uses the data of medical organizations to predict the demand for specialized doctors and analyzes patient behavior patterns using machine learning methods. The novelty of the research is in the methodology for determining the demand: probability of visiting a specialized doctor is calculated and on this basis we identify the demand for doctors of each speciality.
