Ensuring Security of Personal Data in the Era of Big Data Technology

The volume of my graduate work is 55 pages, when writing the diploma was used 29 sources. Key words: big data, information security, personal data, legislative regulation, depersonalization of data, big data, operators of personal data. The object of the study in writing the work was the problems associated with ensuring the security of personal data during processing in the era of Big Data technology, and the subject of the study was the practice of using Big Data technologies in the modern world, as well as the set of legal norms governing relations in the information sphere. The issue of using personal data of citizens is extremely important, the solution of this issue should primarily be legislation that strictly regulates the activities of personal data operators. The thesis consists of an introduction, four chapters with intermediate conclusions and a final conclusion. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research on the chosen topic, the purpose and objectives, the object and subject of the study, the theoretical and practical significance obtained as a result of the work, as well as the methodological basis of the research. The first chapter of the thesis describes various aspects of the application of the Big Data technology and the problems associated with it. The second chapter analyzes the legislative systems of the Russian Federation and the countries of the European Union that regulate the use of personal data from the point of view of ensuring security. The third chapter provides an example of measures to neutralize the current threats at OJSC Svyaztransneft. In the course of the study, recommendations were developed that would help in increasing the level of security of personal data, as the fourth chapter says. The fourth chapter is final in the main part of the work, it contains proposals for technological improvement and on amending the legislation of the Russian Federation.
