Analysis of the Application Blokchain Technology

The work is devoted to the review of the maturity of blockchain technology and the research of its application in the logistics and supply chain management industry. The study consists of three parts. The scope of the first chapter is to look at the mathematical and technological blockchain-basis to identify and prove it's possible strengths and weaknesses and find the assumptions are existing in blockchain frameworks. The general blockchain principles also were announced and architectural types were considered. In the second chapter, the main possible frameworks for blockchain-based solutions are compared. The results of the analysis allows to conclude about the blockchain capabilities for practical business-cases and possible risks. In the third chapter industries where the application of distributed ledgers is relevant are identified, as well as generalized reasons that prevent the blockchain from penetrating the market as early as possible, despite the popularization of this technology. The main part of the chapter is devoted to development of prototype blockchain-system for monitoring and optimization the supply chain management. The study examined the problems of the industry, solved with the help of blockchain, the preconditions are formalized for the development a solution and its technical implementation is explained. In conclusion, it is revealed why blockchain was not accepted by all potential users at once, and it was proved the way of their adoption will be gradual but it seems to proceed faster and faster. Blockchain is considered to be an enormously helpful remedy for plenty of businesses due to its benefits in transparency, security, trusted way of crucial information exchange between multiple participants. Based on the results of the study from the practical part, blockchain-based environment is concerned to be a global foundation, bringing new quality of solving business tasks to logistics and supply chain management.
