Analysis and Improvement of Company’s Transport and Warehousing Processes

Business process optimization is often focused on improving primary processes despite the fact that support and management processes are as important as primary ones by ensuring their effectiveness and long-term enterprise development. The present research paper is dedicated to transport and warehousing processes’ analysis on the example of enterprise “N”. Issues that cause most of the expenses were revealed and organized on the example of interaction with the freight forwarder process. Moreover, a project aimed at process improvement was developed. Effectiveness of the project proposed was measured as operational effectiveness through imitation modelling as well as economic effectiveness through calculating NPV.
