Investigation of the Digital Economy Development in Russia

The purpose of this work was to study the development of the digital economy in Russia. Several tasks were fulfilled in order to achieve this goal, they include: the analysis of world trends, the determination of factors affecting the development of the digital economy, the definition of the role of the state, and the study of the digital economy in Russia. During creation the work, success factors were identified specifically for the Russian digital economy, and on their basis, recommendations were developed for the government and companies to further use. The relevance of the research is conditioned by the growing rates of development of the digital economies of other countries, whose companies are invading the Russian market and become a threat to domestic organizations. Besides, the advantages that digitization brings with it allow to significantly improve the quality of life in the country.
