Analysis of Industry-Specific Innovation Financing in Russia

This research project of “Analysis of Industry-Specific Innovation Financing in Russia” is devoted to the investigation of the issue of innovation development financing. Recently, much research has been made concerning innovations in different industries. However, in Russia the lack of such studies is noticeable, especially in financing sphere. In this regard, it is obvious that investigation in financing of innovations in the industry-specific approach appears to be a substantial issue to work on. The main research question is “What are the main aspects of industry specific innovation financing?” and these aspects are about factors of innovation development. Current research consists of theoretical background, theoretical and practical investigation into analysis of industry specific innovation financing in Russia. This paper consists from separate parts: Literature review, Methodology (Data collection and Data Analysis, Models testing and comparison), and Results (results that are achieved now, their explanation and their application in economy). The methodology of this research is theoretical investigation into financial and innovation-related factors of innovation development and their future analysis. The population for investigation are firms from developed, developing and some less popular industries in Russian Federation. The results of this work are data description and factors of innovation development, which will have different effects in different industries, which appears as a background for third chapter of master thesis: developing and comparing of different innovation development models and innovation financing. Based on these models, some investigations will be made: what factors of innovation development are the most influencing, which of them are not important at all, how cost of innovation development is affected by debts, net profit or number of researches in each industry and other factors of innovation development.
