Determinants Affecting Capital Structure Decisions of Companies Listed on MICEX Oil and Gas

The paper examines empirically the influence of such capital structure determinants as leverage (measured by three proxies), asset growth, size, age, asset tangibility, asset turnover, oil price, the financial crisis of 2008 and the currency crisis of 2014 on performance of 10 companies operating in russian oil & gas sector, which plays the crucial role for Russian economy. The sample is based on the constituents of MICEX Oil & Gas index.
