The Relations of Economic Indicators and Development of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship in Russian Regions

Nowadays entrepreneurship has become one of the most worrying themes of research among economists. It is not surprising because entrepreneurship is a very important part of economics of every country. One of the main reasons is that it contributes to economic growth. A problem that motivates a project is a lack of complex and deep surveys about Russian entrepreneurs and the area which they are operating in. It is crucial to explore factors that influence small and medium entrepreneurship to find what helps Russian enterprise to develop. The work is dedicated to searching for factors influencing on small and medium enterprise in Russian regions. The factors taken into consideration are economic conditions in the country, economic policy, characteristics of regions and firms. Russian regions and cities have a lot of differences in their level of economic development and initial opportunities so the situation with entrepreneurship varies across regions. In this work the database containing different economic indicators which are supposed to be related to entrepreneurship was made and data was thoroughly analyzed. Krasnoyarsk Krai was chosen as an example. The results could be useful in the designing of regional policies and programs to support entrepreneurship.
