In the result of the selection there were 568 articles remained 438 of which used the SF-36 index of quality of life and health, and 93 - the EQ-5D index. The total number of cited articles on EQ-5D was 48, and for SF-36 - 154. The main goal of this study is the implementation of EQ-5D in Russia. For this purpose the groups of diseases mentioned in the articles separately for EQ-5D and SF -36 as well as the author's affiliation and citation were analyzed. In addition, a comparative analysis of these two indexes was conducted. Based on citations, the map of relationships between authors and their affiliation was created. In the result of the study, it was found out that the EQ-5D index can compete with SF-36, as it is actively used to study similar issues as the latter, additionally providing a number of advantages. Nowadays, there has been a gradual shift in research towards EQ-5D in large scientific and medical organizations, which in the future can create prospects for the further penetration of such a strategy.
