Factors of Local Retail Enterprises Survival in the Conditions of Federal Chains’ Expansion

Today, the Russian market of food retail represents international, federal and local retail chains. There is a tendency that large federal retail trade networks capture regions of Russia. Despite the thoughtful strategies of seizing Russian territories and fierce competition, some local retail trade enterprises in Russia tend to survive and develop. The purpose of this work is to identify the survival factors of local retail trade enterprises that help compete with federal chains during expansion into the regions of Russia.
