The Impact of Export on Russian Company Performance: Direct and Moderation Effect

The Research is devoted to the definition of the relationship between the export of Russian companies and ROA. The Research topic is relevant in view of the fact that to date there are no unambiguous results on the impact of exports on the Russian Company Performance. The sample included 168 Russian companies in three industries (construction, production, energy and chemical industry) in the period from 2013-2016. Also, A positive moderation effect of exports and R & D was considered. According to the results of the study, the hypothesis of the positive impact of exports on the Russian Company Performance has not been confirmed. While a positive moderation effect was identified. It should be noted that the control variables were included in the model, of which the size of the company and the financial leverage were significant. The results of the study can serve as a basis for subsequent empirical studies.
