In the modern world of international cooperation, Sino-Japanese relations play an important role. Their cooperation is quite unstable and the consequences of war left a trace and gave raise to stereotypes which are obstacles to the peaceful partnership. The purpose of current study is to show how two countries interacted with each other after World War II. Another purpose which cannot be realized without analyzing Sino-Japanese cooperation is to determine in which direction their relations developing. Also using surveys of the inhabitants of Japan and China I can conclude that two nations still do not feel affinity to each other. Which inhibits not only international but also cultural exchange. The study is conducted in two methodological phases: historical analysis and comparative analysis. Historical analysis is neсessary for understanding all the prerequisites and consequences of unstable cooperation, then comparative analysis allows to see development prospects.
