The Manifestation of Political and Social Participation of the Youth of Saint Petersburg in the Period from 2016 to 2018

The work is devoted to the problems of political participation of youth in St. Petersburg in 2016-2018. The theoretical framework of the work is the theory of political participation of Milbart and Marsh, various approaches to youth research, generational theory. The empirical base is based on the content analysis of urban media and Internet resources of youth political organizations, including pro-governmental organizations (MGER), organizations of systemic opposition (LDPR, Yabloko) and non-systemic opposition (the Vesna movement and PARNAS). In addition, the chairmen of all the above-mentioned movements were interviewed. Based on this material, conclusions were drawn about the real forms of modern political participation of young people in St. Petersburg and the political repertoire of youth organizations in St. Petersburg.
