The Topic of "Women's Singleness" in the Soviet Cinema 1970s.

The work is concentrated on the ways of representation of a women's singleness in the Soviet cinema 1970s. By means of narrative and discursive analysis, the study reveals the methods of the decoding a heroine's singleness. This research is divided into two main parts. The first one is aimed to answer the following questions: can a married woman feel herself lonely? can the phenomenon of women's singleness be considered from a positive point of view as a desired goal? The second part explores the changes a heroine's behavior in various social contexts: a town and a countryside, fathers and sons, private and public.
