Referring to the researches of the romantic cult of heroes of the 18th and 19th centuries, analyzing the origin of the celebrity culture in modern society, this study also addresses the John Cawelti’s theory of the formula stories. The aim of the research is to identify common patterns in the representations of the Paganini as a celebrity in the 19th and 21st centuries. The work consists of two main parts (not including the introduction and conclusion). The first part of the work is inducted into the retrospective of celebrity studies and the analysis of research literature. The second one includes a case studying three modern biopics about Paganini. According to the working hypothesis, the result of the study will be the identification of parallels between the narratives of Gothic-romantic literature and the genre of biopic.
