This study provides examination and analisys of the contemporary conditions of musical zines in post-soviet Russia. Zines are self-published publications, which circulates in local underground communities. In Russian musical field, they exist since 1960s but now DIY magazines seem like relics of a pre-Internet era. However, zines revived in 2000s in many different formats from feminist fanzines to designer books and the main object of underground press – musical zines – is a rare phenomenon. In this study I'd like to show the forms of distribution and production of zines in the era of the Internet . I describe the main themes of punk-hardcore scene according to those zines in Russia in late 2000s and 2010s. For now there is no necessity in analyzing contemporary zines only through the prism of underground community but it seems relevant to examine this culture through principle of local community and growing interest for DIY-culture.
