Factors of Building a Successful Career in the Civil Service

This final qualifying work is devoted to the problem of building a career in the civil service, namely, to identify the factors that determine its success. Issues related to determining what is the main in achieving success (the key to success) on the career path will remain relevant at all times, because "achieving success in a career" reflects the success of a person in life as a whole. The building of a career has always been an integral part of the life of any person, and the professional sphere is one of the main spheres of human activity and it is a fundamental area for the self-realization. The success of a career is determined by an objective factor, namely, the achievement of higher managerial positions in the system of public administration. In the empirical study the personal characteristics of civil servants were analyzed, which can become the key to success, because at high rates of socio-economic changes, it becomes uncertain which professional skills will be in demand in the foreseeable future. According to the results of the study, it was found that the success of a career as a whole depends not only on the availability of the necessary professional qualities and skills, but also on the personal potential of the employee. During the research, the author managed to identify specific personal competencies that can contribute to building a successful career in the public administration system. The results of this study can be useful to the choice of the directions of the programs of raising the qualification, educational programs and various trainings that can contribute to the development of the necessary competencies for building an upward career.
