Web-Technologies for Thermodynamic Modelling and Processing of Thermodynamic Data

Student: Mezinov Nikolay

Supervisor: Igor Morozov

Faculty: HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE)

Educational Programme: Mathematical Methods of Modelling and Computer Technologies (Master)

Final Grade: 9

Year of Graduation: 2018

The purpose of this work was to develop software in the form of a web application for thermodynamic modeling and processing of thermodynamic data. During the execution of the work, modules were developed and implemented that expand the capabilities of the «IVTANTHERMO-Online» information system. As a tool used modern web technologies. The basis of the application is a relational database created with the help of DBMS PostgreSQL, for writing the server part the programming language PHP was used. Symfony framework was also used, which significantly accelerated the development process. To write the client code, the JavaScript programming language was used with the jQuery library. When designing the application architecture, MVC and REST API were used. The results of this work can be divided into 3 parts. The first part is related to managing users and accessing data groups. This part was devoted to providing the most flexible access to data for end users. The second part is devoted to version control for thermodynamic data. In the third part of the work, an interface was implemented to calculate the equilibrium composition of chemically reacting systems. Each of the parts will be described in detail in the text of the report. The results of this work will be the basis for the further development of the «IVTANTHERMO-Online» information system.
