New Trends in the Development of Trade Relations Between China and Japan

Student: Rogov Mikhail

Supervisor: Alexander Larionov

Faculty: Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs

Educational Programme: Asian Studies (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2017

The topicality of the thesis is largely determined by the trends of development of Sino-Japanese relations in the past few decades as an independent social centrifugal force that extends to the Asia-Pacific region (APR) and far beyond its limits. These changes, which fundamentally influenced the alignment of forces both in the Asia-Pacific Region and the world economy as a whole, testify to the effectiveness of both the domestic and foreign policies pursued by the leadership of the two countries during bilateral cooperation. This study is aimed at identifying the main factors that contributed to the formation and development of new trends in trade and economic relations between China and Japan, using the Heckscher-Ohlin theory and M. Porter's theory of absolute advantages.
