Applying Logistic Approach to Distribution center: the Case of Ltd "Lenta"

This diploma paper describes the role of distribution centers in the global supply chain and the problems faced by large companies in the formation of a network of warehouse distribution centres. The choice of warehouse location, infrastructure problems, insufficient level of automation - all these issues must be solved with the help of logistics approaches, methods and tools to improve the efficiency of warehouse activities. As a practical result, this paper proposes a project to create the eighth distribution center for the «Lenta» company. During the work, the choice of the location of the distribution center, the main costs, and an assessment of economic efficiency was made.
