Educational Programme: Management (Bachelor)

The trend towards globalization is changing the global market, encouraging organizations to replace direct sales by distributors and independent supply of raw by materials purchased from suppliers. These trends lead to the formation of supply chains, which in turn entails the need to consider the activities of the organization no longer as isolated units, but as parts of the system. The concept of Supply Chain Management is at the peak of popularity. The main idea of the concept is the optimal construction of the supply chain in the context of its three main elements: participants, the links between them and the main flows. The purpose of this final qualifying work is to review, diagnose and develop measures to optimize the supply chain of Nestle's ready-to-eat breakfasts, geographically represented in Perm, where the production is located directly. Based on the integration of the SCOR-modeling methods and the process approach, an integrated approach to the diagnostics and optimization of the supply chain was developed. Work on the diagnostics and development of a package of measures to optimize the supply chain was carried out in the following stages: identification of the main links of the given supply chain, identification of key actors and their characteristics, modeling the supply chain, diagnosing the supply chain, identifying problem areas and the reasons for their occurrence, developing measures to eliminate problematic places, drawing up an optimization plan.
