International Shipment Organization

International shipments play a large part in international economic activity organization. The role of logistics in this process is great, because organization of international transportation has its own characteristics and requires special approaches. The purpose of this work is the effective organization of international shipment with optimal costs. The object of the study is the company "TransStroyKomplekt", the subject of research are existing international shipments from Azerbaijan to Russia and transportation from Austria to Russia that is being planned at the moment. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to analyze the literature, to consider the features of international transportation process, to analyze the models and methods used for the shipment organization with optimal costs. It is also necessary to analyze the activities of the focus company, experience by the international shipment, to study the specifications of transported cargo and the features of the foreign country the export is made from. As a result, using effective models and tools, measures for optimizing the existing company's international shipments and ways of organizing future transportation are provided. The paper presents the list of recommendations that can be used by other companies dealing with international shipments.
