Information Technologies in Personnel Management: Opportunities and Limitations

The paper examined the features of information technology in personnel management, as well as the possibilities and limitations of the use of information technology in personnel management in the public sphere. As a result of the research it was revealed that information technologies have wide possibilities for automating many processes in personnel management. However, with the introduction of information technology in the management of cadres in the public sphere, there are a number of barriers, the main one of which is the lack of competence among government employees in the field of high information technology. At the same time, the state itself follows the vector of introduction of high information technologies in state organizations, so their implementation occurs gradually along the vertical of top-down management.
