Practices and Subjective Meanings of the Use of Drugs in the Modern Subcultures on the Example of Psychonauts

In this article, an attempt has been made to investigate one of the most interesting "newest" subcultures - psychonauts - people who use psychoactive drugs for self-knowledge. The author of the research, was based on 8 interviews and 16 hours of included observation, and he describes a closed subcultural group and shared his thoughts about what is happening in the format of the 'ethnographic reading'. The work provides a review of modern and classical theories of subcultures, explores different scince views on the phenomena of practices and subjective meanings in sociological science.
