Agriculture is a strategically important sector of the country's economy, as its development and effective functioning ensures the country's food security and a certain independence from the international community. A wide range of state regulation of the agro-industrial sector contributes to its comprehensive development. In the course of the state's agricultural policy, it is necessary to use both direct measures to regulate the agro – industrial complex (hereinafter-the agro-industrial complex) (support aimed directly at the production processes of farms and agricultural producers) and indirect measures (stimulation of the development of related industries). In this regard, the relevance of the research topic is due to the introduction in the system of state regulation of agriculture of such tools to support the agro-industrial complex, which will ensure the development of the industry and food stability in the market. The work used such methods as regression analysis, which evaluated the impact of state support for livestock and crop production on the index of physical volume of production of livestock and crop production.
