Research was developed to study stability of romantic relationships in adolescence, where stability is seen as conservation relationship over time (Cutrona, 2011). According to the level of interpersonal dependence there are two types of stability - functional and dysfunctional. The main goal of the study is to analyze connection between the indicator of relationship stability, attachment style and interpersonal dependence in romantic relationships in adolescence. 139 people in the age from 18 to 25 took part in the study. Аt the beginning, participants were asked to fill in two questionnaires - socio-demographic and "experience of relations". After that they passed a number of methods: two questionnaires aimed at revealing interpersonal dependence - "Questionnaire on interpersonal dependence" R. Hirschfield and "Test profile relations" R. Bornstein, the other two were used to determine the style of attachment of a person - "The questionnaire of attachment to close people" N.V. Sabelnikova and "Multi-Questionnaire of the Measurement of Romantic Attachment in Adults" Kriukovoy. The results partially confirmed the hypothesis, the existence of connection between attachment styles and the stability of relations mediated by the type of interpersonal dependence. Connection was found between functional stability and a reliable attachment style (r = 0.207). Also, factors were described, which are connected to the quality of relations and their duration. Based on the qualitative analysis, 3 portraits were described for groups with different types of stability. The results of this study contribute to understanding stability and can be used to further studies.
