ABSRTACT Formation of the Eurasian Economic Union created opportunities for member-states not only in economic, but also in political and social terms. Labour migrants in Russia from member-states have been given range of rights. This study focuses on rights of labour migrants to receive Mandatory Health Insurance(MHI) and awareness and utilization of it by migrants. The work examines awareness of labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan of one's right to Mandatory Health Insurance; identifies the barriers why migrants do not use this right and analyze the reasons why migrants need MHI. In doing the study qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection are employed. First phase of the data collection process is conducting in-depth interviews (n=15). The second phase is online survey at surveygizmo.com platform advertised on social network using paid targeting method (mytarget.com service).(n=949). Findings show that half of the Kyrgyz labour migrants are aware of their rights. The main barrier is lack of information about MHI and arrangement procedures. Keywords: labour migration from Kyrgyzstan, Mandatory Health Insurance in Russia, awareness of rights, labour contract.
