Eszter Varga. Recommendations for Improving the Interaction between R&D and Marketing Departments in New Product Development.

Annotation. Nowadays, innovations play an important role in the activities of companies. During new product development, the key departments are the Research and Development Department (R & D) and the Marketing Department. The success of the new product strongly depends on the effectiveness of these two departments' interactions. The interaction between these departments has been actively studied since the 1970’s. The oil and gas industry is crucial in the Russian Federation. Marketing Departments have recently appeared in the oil and gas industry, so it is important to study and develop their interaction with the Department of Research and Development (R & D). The relevance of this work is to study the interaction between R & D and marketing in the oil and gas industry. The purpose of the thesis is to present recommendations for improving the interaction of R & D and Marketing departments in the Hungarian company "LOG Valve." To achieve this goal, the design of empirical research was created, consisting of qualitative (interviews with experts from the Russian oil and gas industry and the heads of R & D and Marketing departments of the Hungarian company) and quantitative research (questionnaires for employees working for both departments). Based on the results of empirical study, recommendations were presented to improve the interaction between R & D and Marketing Departments at LOG Valve.
