The development of computer games is happening rapidly and covers more and more people. Every year the popularity of mobile and computer games is growing, but scientific works devoted to the study of users of mobile and computer games is still small. Mobile and computer players were mostly studied only by psychologists, in terms of the impact of gaming on the cognitive abilities of players and their behavior. Abroad, researchers built typologies of consumers of mobile and computer games, but all the classifications were built on one basis, or the target audience was reduced to the level of one genre. A full-fledged comprehensive study that would illustrate exactly the Russian users of mobile and computer games and would represent the whole of our country was not. It is not known who is the Russian user of mobile and computer games, what socio-demographic characteristics he has, what genres of games he prefers, what is important for him in the game. Russian consumers of games represent a relatively homogeneous mass or they can be divided into segments, and if so, what are these segments? The purpose of this study is to build segmentation of Russian consumers of mobile and computer games.
