The process of creating a new product is reflected in many works, however, the main problem is that today there is no model for the development and market launch of innovative products that could fully take into account the specifics of spin-off projects. This largely determines the relevance of this study. The research problem is related to the need to systematize approaches to managing the development of a new product in the format of corporate spin-off, as well as the potential for adapting startup management tools to spin-off projects. The main research methods are desk research, analysis of statistical data, data synthesis, as well as focused interviews, contextual analysis and experiment. As a result of the study, the analysis of the stages of development of an innovative product by startups, large organizations and spin-offs was carried out. Additionally, the focused interview allowed to make adjustments to the developed model and to present the model of spin-off project management, which has been tested in practice. It was found that the model correctly reflects the stages of product development before the stage of business model validation. Further confirmation of the applicability of the model can be carried out through additional studies. The results can be used by spin-off organizations and startups in order to improve the process of product development and launch.
