The Influence of Coverage of CSR Project in Mass Media on Stock Price

This work empirically investigates the influence of CSR projects coverage both in the media, and official press centers of companies, on the shares prices of these companies.Along with others, a modern data collection tool – parsing, data processing - context analysis, and econometric analysis for model evaluation were used. Among other explanatory factors, we consider the news factor in the form of quantitative indicators for published news for a certain period and the contextual rating of an article reflecting the emotional message. The idea that formed the basis of the work proved itself, according to the results of the empirical analysis, models with a sufficiently high predictive and explanatory quality were obtained, which means that Russian public companies follow the international trend in CSR, and information on CSR projects is important for investors Keywords: CSR, IR-management, share prices, news effect, context analysis
