Creation of Personnel Development Programs for the Russian Retail Chain (a Case of Production Manager and Section Manager Job Position)

In the XXI century, in conditions of constantly changing environment, employees’ competence and their professional skills are viewed as one of the main competitive advantages. Therefore, companies’ management consider professional education as a high-priority task. However, the development of the training programs often faces difficulties. The well-known Russian retail chain is a case in point, especially it applies for managerial positions in the hypermarket, namely, a Section Manager and a Production Manager. The aim of the study is finding gaps in existing training programs for selected positions and to develop a new program. Firstly, relevant secondary data on methods and types of learning have been examined. Secondly, the data collection among Section and Production Managers will be conducted. It will consist of motion study, job descriptions and training programs analysis. Finally, the obtained results will be analyzed and new training programs for selected positions will be proposed.
