Optimization Modelling of Last Mile Delivery in E-Commerce

Last mile logistics is one of the most problematic areas in the whole supply chain, while in the e-commerce it might either play significant role in achieving competitive advantage and getting new customers, or on the other hand losing the major part of them. In such extreme conditions as currently existing ones on the world market scholars imply on the usage of client-oriented approach in business. The aim of this study is to form a list of solutions for logistics services development and its economic justification. Based on the branch data analysis from the open sources as well as through thorough investigation the optimization model of last mile delivery created. It contains the required steps towards achieving high level of logistics service for the last-mile part in the supply chain. It was created for logistics operators and internet retailers with own delivery service, and was designed to improve logistics performance of the companies in the sphere of e-commerce.
