Referrals as a Tool for Recruiting and Hiring: Opportunities and Limitations

Recruitment process significantly influences on enterprise performance, being the main part of the company's resource base. In this double-sided process, appears the problem of "matching" two half (person-organization & person-job fit) in the form of a candidate and employer. Tools for resolving this problem may be referral programs. This research aims to identify opportunities and limitations for the Company, as a result of referral program - Talent Finder. The mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) was used as a framework. According to the results of this study, it was concluded that the Talent Finder program allows to attract young employee, to attract those who value the prestige and content of the work. Those who come through the program have a better understanding and vision of the organizational culture , and are also less inclined to leave it. The conducted research seems to be the basis for further study with theme as a characteristics of referred candidates, as studies of the motives and attitudes of internal staff to take part in this program.
