Abstract. This work is devoted to the study of the influence of the configuration of business-government relations and political regimes on the strategy of countries economic crisis 2008-2009 recovery. The existence of strong large business in the state may be risky in a crisis situation. Possessing a large volume of human resources and being a strong consolidated group of interests, such business groups can apply the "state capture" strategy. In this case, the ability of large businesses to massively reduce their staff is as a lever of pressure used on the authorities – such job cuts tend to social vulnerabilities in which the authorities are not interested. By influencing the authorities in this way, business gets budgetary funds, preventing effective anti-crisis policies and complicating the crisis recovery. The hypothesis is tested using the qualitative comparative analysis (csQCA) method in 10 cases. The structure of the work is as follows: first the author gives a chronology of the crisis events and possible recovery strategies, then analyzes various approaches, which describe the influence of political regime and business-government relations on the crisis recovery. Next author describes the methodology of the study, reviews cases, and analyzes empirical data. In conclusion he summarizes the research results and develops a strategy for future research.
