This paper studies the relationship between sport participation and labour incomes. The analysis of theoretical and empirical studies was conducted in order to distinguish the possible channels through which sports can affect labour market outcomes. The descriptive analysis was performed in order to find out the dynamic and tendencies of sports participation in Russia. The results of descriptive analysis have also shown the most popular and unpopular types of sports and the intensity and duration of physical exercises of Russian residents. Econometric analysis was based on several alternative methods: pooled regression, random effects and fixed effects models and quantile regression. The results showed a positive significant relationship between sport participation and labour incomes.
