Sports and Academic Performance Among School Students

The research was aimed to analyse how physical activities and sports affect academic performance of russian 5-9 class students. The data was taken from the round 25 (2016) of the The Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey - Higher School of Economics (RLMS-HSE). Data from both individual and household surveys was used. Ordered logit and probit models with marginal effects were estimated to analyse the data. In the course of the work, the hypothesis of positive influence of additional physical activity on academic performance was partially confirmed.
