At present, the problem of personnel motivation in the oil and gas industry is relevant for a number of reasons. It becomes obvious that high wages, prestige of oil and gas companies, as well as a social package, do not fully compensate for hard working conditions, shift work methods, strict discipline requirements, and a large amount of work for oil and gas industry employees. At the forefront is an intangible component that allows you to retain valuable personnel in such organizations. The purpose of this work is to identify what factors inspire workers of a particular oil and gas enterprise to work better, as well as to offer a set of measures to improve the system of non-material incentives. Using such methods as questionnaires and interviews, the existing system of intangible reward is analyzed, its shortcomings are revealed. The study found that the key factors that inspire the employees of the oil and gas enterprise are the opportunity to develop their potential, as well as interesting tasks in the work and the promotion of the results achieved. On the basis of the data obtained, recommendations were developed to improve the system of non-material motivation.
