Risk Assessment of Venture Financing and Its Impact on Economic Growth

This work is divided into two parts. First, we will study the relationship between venture investments and economic growth. Afterwards, we will examine the issue of the methodology for risk assessment of venture investments. Since we believe that, with econometric significance of the positive relationship between venture investments and economic growth, competent risk management and the construction of methodologies for its evaluation are required to conduct successful transactions in the venture capital market. The results of the empirical research conducted by the author made it possible to identify and explain the mathematical dependence between economic growth, transactions using venture financing, and a set of other explanatory factors. A methodology for assessing the risk of transactions involving venture capital has been developed, based on the use of the copula-function apparatus and, using the example of empirical data, the effectiveness of the model developed by the author is demonstrated.
