Price Optimization in the Cinemas Market

Nowadays is no surprise to find several rows of empty seats in cinemas. It is possible with the help of price optimization to decrease the numbers of unsold tickets. At the moment the ticket price influenced by two factors a combination of the time of the session and day of the week. Other factors like quality of the film, seat position in the hall and time of ticket purchase are almost never taken into account. While in other industries during last decades complicated price models have been used. In this study, current price factors will be optimized and new ways of price differentiation would be suggested. More accurate pricing can both increase the revenue of the cinema and provide a competitive advantages for cinemas.
