Political Repressions in Soviet Hinterland in the Initial Period of the Great Patriotic War

This study examines the political repressions in Molotov city in the initial period of the Great Patriotic war (June 22,1941-1942). The work is provided by detailed statisctic of repressions and information about arrested citizens (education, nationality, etc). Using the criminal cases of the NKVD and the sociological concept of "Lifeworld" the images of the reality created by repressed people are reconctructed. The reason why such images appeared may be explained by the hard life conditions during the war . The same methodological approach was applied to illustrate how the NKVD investigator created the image of "inner enemy" in the deep soviet rear.
