The Definition and Types of Liability Damage Caused to Vehicle Owner

In Russia, transport safety is a significant problem, which needs careful consideration from the point of the law enforcement. That is why the purpose of my thesis is the analysis of the transport’s safety existing status and the determination of criminal and civil liabilities which arise during traffic violations to a vehicle or/ and its owner. To achieve this goal it is necessary to consider the mechanism of defining harm caused because of a violation of vehicle’s exploitation rules and determining the measures of various liability types. Based on the research conducted, the optimized system of vehicles owners’ accountability will be proposed; criminal and civil laws being taken into account.
