Entrepreneurial Activity of Migrants

This thesis deals with entrepreneurial activity of migrants. However, it is necessary to study factors, wich affect the desire to engage in entrepreneurship, rather than work as employee. Proceeding from this, the goal of this thesis can be formulated as follows: to conduct analysis of determinants of entrepreneurial activity of migrants with the help of econometric methods. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set: to study the concept of migration, its forms and legislative basis; to study some works of scientists; to analyze and to reveal factors, which affect the desire of migrants to engage in business; to form a set of variables for analysing entrepreneursip in Russian Federation; to carry out the econometric analysis and reveal factors, which affect the model. The obtained results indicate the following: over the last few years the factors, which have an incluence on motivation and goals of engaging in entrepreneurship, have changed. During the crisis and post-crisis period to open own business was only method to avoid poverty and unemployement, but during last few years population become more reasonably approach the issue of starting own business and have the main goal to improve own prosperity, but not solving problems. This is also confirmed by the fact that migrants entrepreneursip, which was represented by people with secondary compete education, but now it is represented by people with specific secondary education, i.e. people, who have some knowledge about the business area. The reason also could be business development and incresing the competition between firms. In common, entrepreneurship of migrants is represented by people with secondary education, while migrants with high education prefer to be employees.
