Applied Social Psychology
(Master’s programme)
2018
This thesis presents a study investigating the relationship between Personality Metatraits and bonding and bridging types of individual social capital. The research was conducted on Russian speaking sample with the toolbox consisting of Personality Metatraits questionnaire (Strus & Cieciuch 2016) and offline version of Internet Social Capital Scale (Williams, 2006) firstly adapted to Russian-speaking sample before the main research. Based on gathered data, a model of interaction between Personality Metatraits and bonding and bridging types of social capital was constructed. Firstly, we found that high scores on different metatraits affect the level of accumulation of bonding and bridging of social capital. Secondly, we found specific relationships between the majority of metatraits and various types of individual social capital. The study consists of introduction, theoretical part, empirical part, research results and list of references.
